Open-Source Software

Most of our applications are proprietary apps for specific clients. However, we do have a few applications that we have made available to the open-source community for the benefit of all. They are either public domain, or licensed under the CDCBL license.

Our open-source software categories are:

 
Libraries & Controls top

Over the course of the development of many specialized apps, we've also developed several general-use libraries. HIDLib is the first to fall under our new Commercial Development, Community Benefit License, but we are working to secure a few other such libraries under this license as well, so we can make them available to the public also.

A managed .NET library for USB HID device communication. This library will support device enumeration, insertion/removal notification, Input/Output/Feature reports, bulk transfers, etc. It does not have any external dependencies on other libraries or filter drivers. Also, it is designed using almost entirely native .NET code, unlike many other available libraries that rely heavily on unmanaged code.

A managed .NET library for RFID reader device communication. This library will support multiple reader devices via a plugin system, providing a universal interface to multiple devices and device types.

Originally developed as a game for my son, I enhanced it by allowing various board sizes and colorizing the regions. I also wrote the GUI separate from the underlying game class, making it a component that can easily be used to create a custom GUI.

TWEdit
