DLIDLib ID/License Parser Coming To Mobile Devices

We're pleased to announce that testing is nearly complete for a Compact Framework version of our DLIDLib driver license / ID card parsing library. This will enable applications on mobile & handheld device applications to take advantage of our powerful parsing capabilities without requiring client/server communication to a back-end service.

Estimated availability is early August.

AAMVALib Parser Tested In Maryland
We're happy to add Maryland to our confirmed state compatibility checklist. Our AAMVALib driver's license parser v0.2 has been tested successfully against Maryland-issued licenses with no problems. Our State Compatibility page has been updated accordingly.

Online Documentation Now Available
As of 15 January 2009, online documentation for our open-source and commercial libraries and assemblies is available on their project pages. The compiled .chm help files are still included in the downloads, of course. The online availability should make the data more visible to search engines when searching for information on those libraries, and should serve as a convenience to our users.

HIDLib 0.2 Release Emminent

Version 0.2 of our HIDLib assembly is sbout to be released. It includes many enhancements, some bug fixes, and a few other changes (for more details, see here). This new release is the result of wider use of the library in several projects, communicating with a wider wange of specialized devices.

Anticipated release date is early February 2009.

Proprietary device integration for Cyprus homeland security

This software application allows a PC104 embedded PC running XP to read a serial data stream from a laser rangefinder. This data was then parsed and displayed on the control system screen. In addition the data was converted to NMEA format and then sent to a fixed console LCD marine display. The system is for a homeland security application currently under final development and testing for the nation of Cyprus.
